L-3 to deliver common data link ground systems to the Canadian Forces

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, June 2, 2010 – L-3 Communication Systems-West (L-3 CS-West) announced today that it has been selected by the Canadian Forces (CF) through a competitive process for the delivery of its Common Data Link Ground System known as the STINGER. The STINGER is the newest product in L-3's Line-of-Sight Ground Data Link family.

“We are very excited to welcome the Canadian Forces into the STINGER community,” said James Diefenderfer, L-3 CS-West Canadian business manager. “The STINGER system is a very important piece of communications equipment that will allow CF personnel to receive ISR feeds at stand-off ranges.
