CaseBank SpotLight selected by Lockheed Martin for the C-130J Super Hercules

2012-01-10 (Mississauga, ON) — CaseBank Technologies, a leading provider of interactive, guided diagnostic solutions that improve first time success rates and mission-readiness of military aircraft and equipment repairs, today announced that Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company has selected its SpotLight software to deliver a diagnostic management system for the C-130J Super Hercules aircraft, for a test and evaluation program, completing in 2012. The system will encompass the entire aircraft, including the AE2100-D3 engine and the complete avionics suite.

“We are honored that Lockheed Martin has again selected our SpotLight technology, this time to enhance its diagnostic capabilities for the C-130J,”said Tony O’Hara, CEO of CaseBank. “As the latest model of the world’s most popular tactical airlifter, the C130J is the second of Lockheed’s sophisticated aircraft programs to adopt our SpotLight technology. SpotLight is currently shipping with every F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) delivery, as the primary off-board diagnostics system, known as the JSF Anomaly and Fault Resolution System (AFRS)”.

SpotLight is an advanced software solution that is unique in its ability to deliver global, field experience to every technician during the troubleshooting process, in order to pinpoint post-production faults, reduce troubleshooting time, and boost availability of modern military equipment, such as the C-130J fleet.

SpotLight utilizes a unique and patented form of hybrid reasoning that mimics the differential diagnosis approach used by physicians and other experts, to rapidly isolate the root cause of a problem and move quickly to a successful solution. To date numerous aircraft and engine original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), as well as large fleet operators, have adopted SpotLight to drive the success rates of first time repairs.

When in production, SpotLight is anticipated to become a configuration-controlled standard aircraft equipment item, resident on fly-away support equipment, for enhanced support of C-130J fleets around the world.

The Lockheed Martin C-130J Super Hercules was designed and developed with mission flexibility in mind, from combat delivery, air-to-air refueling, special operations and disaster relief to humanitarian missions.

The C-130J has a unique mix of agility and performance to consistently operate in very high tempo operations efficiently and reliably, even in the harshest operating conditions.
